When you use CareerAI we may collect:
- Resume content — the file you upload for analysis.
- Account information — email address and password hash used for authentication.
- Usage data — anonymised logs of features accessed, used for product improvement only.
2. How We Use Your Data
Your resume is processed exclusively to generate the fit report and rewrite outputs you request. We do not use your resume or personal information to train any AI model, and we do not sell your data to third parties.
3. Data Desensitisation
Before any resume content is passed to AI processing pipelines, our system automatically redacts phone numbers, email addresses, and national identification numbers to minimise exposure of personally identifiable information (PII).
4. Data Retention
Resume files and generated reports are retained for up to 90 days to allow you to access your history. You may request deletion of your data at any time through your account settings or by contacting us via the Help Center.
5. Security
All data is transmitted over TLS-encrypted connections. Stored data is protected with access controls and encryption at rest. We conduct regular security reviews of our infrastructure.
6. Your Rights (GDPR / PIPL)
Depending on your jurisdiction you have the right to access, correct, port, or erase your personal data. To exercise these rights, please contact us through the Help Center.
7. Cookies
We use essential session cookies required for authentication. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.
8. Changes to This Policy
We will notify registered users of material changes to this policy by email or in-app notification at least 14 days before they take effect.
